Two highly anticipated Prabhas films, Fauzi and Spirit, are reportedly facing postponements from their announced release dates. Industry buzz over the past few days suggests both projects will now arrive in 2027, with production delays pushing the timelines for these eagerly awaited Prabhas films directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Fauzi Postponed from December 3rd

Fauzi was set to release on December 3rd, but the film still has a huge chunk of shooting days left to complete. The production schedule makes it difficult to meet the December deadline, leading to reports of the film now targeting the first half of 2027.

The period action drama, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, has generated significant anticipation since its announcement. The teaser released on Prabhas' birthday added to the excitement among fans and trade circles.

Spirit Also Pushed to 2027

Spirit, featuring Prabhas under Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s direction, has also been postponed from its scheduled release date. The film is now reportedly targeting the second half of 2027, according to industry sources.

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has secured a massive Netflix deal, underlining the tremendous confidence in this collaboration. Given Vanga’s blockbuster success with Animal, expectations for Spirit are exceptionally high.

2027 to Feature Two Prabhas Films

With both Prabhas films now scheduled for 2027, the year promises to be significant for the pan-Indian superstar. Fauzi in the first half and Spirit in the second half could both potentially gross ₹1000 Cr, given Prabhas’ massive fan base and the star power of directors Hanu Raghavapudi and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The postponements mean 2026 has been a disappointing year for Prabhas, with The Raja Saab failing to meet expectations despite the pre-release hype.
